Gifts is located in Batesville, Mississippi and is owned and
operated by Kay Harrison Nickle.
Kay Harrison grew up in the retail business in Batesville.
After receiving her Bachelor of Science degree in 1984 from Ole
Miss (Go
Rebels!), she naturally felt comfortable with the idea of opening
her own retail business in her hometown among family and friends.
She married Steve Nickle in 1985 and they have two sons, Harrison and
Bryan.
The gift store,
Kay’s
Gifts and Bridal Registry,
opened in 1984 and has operated
successfully since then.
The store’s large array of china, flatware, and house wares has
provided many brides and grooms with a start in housekeeping.
In addition to a Bridal Registry,
Kay’s
has a unique assortment of giftware ranging from the “must haves” for the
graduating high school seniors, collegiate souvenirs and gifts, apparel,
footwear, gorgeous Christmas decorations, adornments for the garden, printed
invitations, the latest scents in candles and potpourri,... the list goes on and
on.
